Melbourne, Feb 21 The Indian Cricket Board's financial might is a worry for Australia's World Cup winning captain Allan Border who believes BCCI has just too much say in everything.
Worried that the cash-awash Indian Premier League (IPL) would further increase BCCI's already considerable clout, Border said, "They have probably had too much to say in matters even though they do have a fair say financially in the global game." The former captain bluntly asked BCCI not to poke its nose and try to play the mediator's role in Australia's jeopardised tour of Pakistan.
"It is an issue between Australia and Pakistan to sort out. There's also independent advice taken, not just Australian security checking it out," Border was quoted as saying by 'Herald Sun'.
"We go to the International Cricket Council and get them to give an assessment as well," he said.
BCCI had earlier asked Cricket Australia to put aside all security apprehensions and tour Pakistan after the cricket board in the trouble-torn Asian country offered foolproof security for the players. (Agencies)
