Kolkata, Mar 24 Former BCCI chief Jagmohan Dalmiya today termed the move to file a chargesheet against him by the Mumbai Police as an off-shoot of "the old game plan of my adversaries".
"Whenever something happens in cricket politics, they resort to such action to settle scores with me," the seasoned cricket administrator told PTI, apparently refering to his presence at a Cricket Association of Bengal Special General Meeting last month.
"I don't wish to comment on speculative matters. If what the media says is right then I can only say that it is the old game plan of my adversaries", he said.
"I have not received any copy of the alleged chargesheet. However, I will revert to the media if a chargesheet is filed and a copy of it served on me", Dalmiya said here.
Dalmiya said he had filed a suit in the Kolkata High Court challenging the ban order slapped by the BCCI against him and got a stay.
"The court had passed an order stating that the actions taken against me were illegal," he said.
Dalmiya claimed the office-bearers of BCCI had filed an application in the court supported by an affidavit containing "blatantly incorrect statements for which I have filed an application praying before the court to initiate proceedings against the concerned office-bearers for perjury". (Agencies)
