Baramati (Maharashtra), Mar 27 BCCI President Sharad Pawar today scotched rumours about any brewing tension between the youngsters and the senior members of the Indian cricket team.
"There is no controversy involving the juniors and the senior cricket players in the Indian team," he told reporters on the sidelines of a function organised by industrialist Vijay Mallya's refinery here in western Maharashtra.
To a question on former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar's conflict of interest because of his dual role as an ICC office bearer and a columnist, Pawar said "Gavaskar has not been removed from the post of Chairman of the cricket committee of the ICC." On the former BCCI chief Jagmohan Dalmiya, arrested and released on bail yesterday in connection with alleged misapropriation of Rs 2.90 crore of board funds, Pawar said he had not filed any case against the veteran cricket administrator.
"This matter invovlving the former BCCI chief is in the court and I have not filed any case against him," Pawar said. (Agencies)
