Guwahati, Mar 6 A national level club tournament titled 'All India T20 cricket championship' will be held here from March eight.

Bharti Airtel, a leading mobile service provider, will sponsor the tournament which is organised by the Sports Club of Assam.

Featuring 12 teams in two groups, the tournament will be played on a knockout-cum-league format, chief operating officer of Bharti Airtel Sudipto Chowdhury said here today.

Players such as Ranadeb Bose of Bengal and former India player and Orissa captain Shiv Sunder Das have confirmed their participation, general secretary of the Sports Club of Assam Sajjad Zaheer Hussain has said.

Among the teams are Kolkata eleven, Food Corporation of India, Manipur eleven and the Guwahati Cricket Coaching Centre. (Agencies)
