News - Tendulkar apologises to security man

Ahmedabad, Oct 25: Sachin Tendulkar apologised and paid for medical treatment of a security guard who was hit by his shot during a practice match, a Gujarat Cricket Association official said today.

Tendulkar's lofted shot sent the cricket ball outside the Motera Stadium, hitting the private security personnel on his hand yesterday, GCA President Narhari Aminsaid.

"The ball did hit the guard on the arm and there was a swelling," Amin said.

"However, Tendulkar approached him and apologised for the accident. He also paid him Rs. 1,000 for treatment of his hand," he said. (Agencies)
