Mumbai, Oct 28: Kerala pace bowler Sreesanth will replace the injured seamer Ajit Agarkar in India's 14-member ICC Champions Trophy squad.
"The technical committee has cleared Sreesanth's inclusion in the squad. We have just got the letter on the matter", said BCCI chief administrative officer and tournament director Ratnakar
Shetty.
Sreesanth had to be drafted after Agarkar was ruled out of the tournament due to a broken left thumb, an injury he sustained while fielding during the match against West Indies at Ahmedabad on Thursday.
Sreesanth is now eligible to be fielded by Rahul Dravid in the do-or-die Group A encounter against World Champions Australia at Mohali tomorrow. (Agencies)
