Colombo, August 20: The second one-day international cricket match between India and Sri Lanka was called off for the day due to wet ground conditions caused by overnight rains.
Umpires decided to postpone the match to the reserve day tomorrow as rains reappeared before their scheduled inspection at 3 p.m. shortly after they made second inspection at 12.30 p.m.
Apart from a warm-up game, Indian team has not played since their arrival here on August 10 for a tri-series, also involving South Africa, due to the inclement weather.
The South Africans pulled out of the competition following a powerful bomb blast near the hotel where they were staying.
India stayed on to play a three-match bilateral series against Sri Lanka. (Agencies)
