Nov 13: The national selectors today included Tamil Nadu
opening batsman Sadagopan Ramesh and young Baroda paceman
Irfan Pathan (jr) in the 20-member list of probables for the
upcoming tour of Australia beginning later this month. West
Bengal wicketkeeper batsman Deep Dasgupta is also among the
probables for the four-Test series announced by the Cricket
Board secretary S K Nair here.
Nair said the final 16-member squad would be named after
India's last league one-day cricket match against New
Zealand in the on-going triangular series in Hyderabad on
Saturday. Probables for the Australian tour: Sourav Ganguly
(captain), Akash Chopra, Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, V V
S Laxman, Parthiv Patel, Virender Sehwag, Zaheer Khan,
Avishkar Salvi, Ajit Agarkar, Harbhajan Singh, Murali Kartik,
Anil Kumble, Lakshmipathy Balaji, Sadagopan Ramesh, Yuvraj
Singh, Hemang Badani, Irfan Pathan (jr), Ashish Nehra and
