Kolkata, Dec 8: Unperturbed by the death threats issued by a militant group in Bangladesh, Indian coach John Wright today hailed the government's actions to ensure full-proof security for the players during the coming series in that country. "The government representatives have done their job surely meticulously. We know how well they did it before the Pakistan tour," Wright told newspersons before leaving the team hotel for the airport this morning.

While declining to comment on the death threat issue, the coach said the government representatives, who under the current circumstances were a part and parcel of the Indian contingent, have gone through a definite procedure to ensure full-proof security for the players. "The same situation was there in Pakistan and the same procedure was followed before that tour," he said.

About the upcoming tour, which includes two Test matches and three one day internationals, Wright said, "We just came off a series (against South Africa) and have done well in the last Test. Its just a matter of getting fresh and concentrate on a fresh series." Asked if the new faces in the 15-member squad like Gagandeep Singh would be given a chance to play in the Tests, the coach said "We will field the strongest side." Wright, however, evaded a reply to a question on the possibility of his continuing as the team coach after the 2004-5 session. (Agencies)
