Indian cricket team returns
Kolkata, Dec 28: The Indian cricket team today returned home after the Test and one-day series held in Bangladesh. The entire team came by an Indian Airlines flight that touched down at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose international airport at 5.15 p.m. There was utter chaos at the airport as a large number of curious onlookers surrounded the cricketers as soon as they came out of the international terminal building.
Skipper Sourav Ganguly was the most inconvenienced. As a large number of lensmen, electronic media personnel and onlookers jammed the exit, security personnel had to take Ganguly back to the terminal building before leading him out through a separate door.
As hordes of media personnel frantically tried to get Ganguly's comments, the security personnel literally shoved the scribes away before bundling Ganguly into his car which immediately headed for his residence in south Kolkata. The other team members took connecting domestic flights to return to their places. India whitewashed Bangladesh in the two-Test series and defeated the hosts 2-1 in the shorter version of the game.
