Chittagong, May 21: Paceman Rudra Prasad
Singh was disappointed that India allowed Bangladesh to come out
of the rut but said his side could still go for a win on the
last day of the first cricket Test here tomorrow.
"We are a bit disappointed that we let them
(Bangladesh) go after reducing them to 149 for eight and let us
see what will happen tomorrow. A lot is left in this match,"
Singh said after the fourth day's play, in which he returned 3
for 45.
"Hopefully, we can make it till the last
tomorrow. We will play for a win," he added.
Singh said there was no special plan for tomorrow but a lot
would depend on how fast India could score.
"It all depends on how much run you score tomorrow. We have
bowled well. But we have full confidence that we can win the
match tomorrow. We have no intentions to put ourselves under
pressure and there is no special plans as such, go there and
play your natural game." He also said "rain is not in our hands,
but we have done things to the best of our abilities." The Uttar
Pradesh bowler said it was not easy for him in the match, which
he was playing after a long gap.
"I have come back after a while, so it was not easy for me. I
have played in some domestic matches, Ranji Trophy and some
other. But things fell in place for me today." Singh said smply
focused on bowling right line and length on the flat pitch.
"The pitch was totally flat. But if you pitch it in the right
areas and length you get a purchase. You need to bowl different
length for different batsmen and things worked well for me
today," he added. (Agencies)
