Ganguly vows to win back his place
New Delhi, Dec 21:A day after his meeting with Cricket Board (BCCI) President Sharad Pawar, beleaguered former captain Sourav Ganguly today said that he was "still good enough to get back into the Indian team".
Ganguly, who was left out of the national squad after the second Test in Sri Lanka, vowed to win back his place by proving himself in domestic cricket. "I will keep playing domestic cricket. I feel I am good enough to get back into the Indian team, and playing domestic cricket is the only way out. So I will keep playing," Ganguly told news channell
'CNN-IBN'.
The Prince of Kolkata said motivation would not be a problem for him to play in domestic cricket. "I don't think so," said Ganguly who played in the Ranji Trophy first round match against Maharashtra. He also led East Zone in the Duleep Trophy earlier this season. "Bengal has been doing well. We are number one in the group and have a huge chance of making it to the semifinals. "It is a big thing for the public in Bengal. It (motivation) should not be a problem."
On his one on one with Pawar here yesterday, Ganguly said, "it went off well". "It was an absolutely personal discussion, so I cannot say what we discussed," he said. "The feeling (of being left out of the team) doesn't change, before or after the meeting." (Agencies)
