Port of Spain, Jan 16: Former captain Clive Lloyd has been appointed manager of the West Indies cricket team during its tour of India for the four-match one-day international series starting Sunday.
Lloyd, chairman of West Indies Cricket Board's cricket committee, had travelled with the squad as an adviser for the Champions Trophy in October. He will succeed Tony Howard, who has been appointed WICB's chief cricket operations officer.
Besides, Barbados coach Hendy Springer will join West Indies as a temporary assistant coach to Bennett King, WICB cricket operations officer Derrick Nicholas said.
