Kolkata, Jan 20: Stylish batsman Yuvraj Singh, recuperating from a tear in his left knee, exuded confidence that he would soon return to the Indian team.
"I hope I'll soon be 100 per cent match fit. I am looking forward to return to the Indian team," Yuvraj said on his arrival here to play in a twenty-20 tournament yesterday.
Yuvraj said he had decided to take part in the tournament organised by the Calcutta Cricket and Football Club to gauge his state of match fitness.
"I am looking forward to the event," the left-hander said when asked about the coming World Cup in the West Indies.
Yuvraj will take the field today for his employers Indian, formerly Indian Airlines.
Yuvraj, who missed the trip to South Africa due to the injury, has been under the treatment of Indian Cricket Board's medical consultant Dr Anant Joshi.
Yuvraj sustained the injury on the eve of India's crucial Champions Trophy league match against Australia at Mohali late October while playing kho-kho as the team's warm-up exercise prior to the net session. (Agencies)
