Wicketkeeper Ajay Rathra and medium pacer Ashish Nehra, who were suffering from minor ailments, today passed the fitness test before the announcement of team for the England tour here on June 8.

BCCI executive secretary Sharadh Diwadkar told sources here that both Rathra and Nehra, who returned with the Indian team after completing the West Indies tour in the early hours today, appeared before BCCI board doctor Dr Ananth Joshi. 

“When I contacted Dr Joshi this afternoon he said Rathra’s finger had healed completely while Nehra, who had groin problem, was also fit”, Diwadkar added.
