Indian captain Sourav Ganguly today expressed satisfaction over the composition of the one-day and Test teams for the England tour beginning later this month.

“I’m satisfied with the teams,” Ganguly told waiting reporters shortly after emerging from the selection committee meeting.

Asked about the selectors’ last minute decision to announce the Test and one-day squads simultaneously, Ganguly said, “I was in favour of the selection of both teams together ahead of the tour.”

Ganguly said he had put in his views to the selectors who had accepted them.

On the inclusion of young Gujarat stumper Parthiv Patel in the test squad, Ganguly said, “I hope he will emerge as one of the best wicket-keepers.”
