Star batsman Sachin Tendulkar, who missed the fourth one-day match against West Indies yesterday because of shoulder pain, has only a 50 per cent chance of playing the final match today, Indian team physio Andrew Leipus said.
“Tendulkar should have been all right but he is still in a bit of discomfort and thus his chances for playing in today’s match are only 50-50,” said Leipus. He said it was up to Tendulkar to decide whether or not he would play.
Tendulkar was ruled out of yesterday’s match with shoulder pain and was replaced with V V S
Laxman. The physio said there was nothing to worry about the injury.
Tendulkar first experienced discomfort in his shoulder during the third one-day match at Barbados on Wednesday, which India won.
