Virendra Sehwag, who had been out of the Indian team after suffering a shoulder injury in the second Test against Zimbabwe in Delhi, was declared fit by BCCI-appointed physio Arjun Singh Rana today.
"Sehwag has passed the fitness test. He is very agile and perfect. He has done very well,” Rana told reporters after subjecting the batsman to a series of fitness tests.
Rana submitted a report on Sehwag’s fitness to BCCI secretary Niranjan Shah this evening.
Sehwag, Mohd. Kaif, Yuveraj Singh and Ajit Agarkar, the four players running for the one-day squad for the West Indies tour, would train here at the National Cricket Academy till May 14, Shah told reporters.
Shah said the Indian team for the one-day series in West Indies would be announced on May 14.
