Ahmedabad, Dec 20: Indian pace bowler Ajit Agarkar was today taken to a city hospital for an MRI scan of his knee joint, hospital sources said here today.
It was a routine check up as the player felt that he should get his knee checked, a doctor at Apollo Hospital told reporters.
"There is nothing wrong with his knee. It was the knee in which he had suffered a serious injury some years back", he added.
Agarkar is currently playing in the third and final test against Sri Lanka at Motera stadium.
He bowled just six overs in the entire Lankan first innings and did not bowl today when Indians came out to field in the morning. However, he did come out to bat in the Indian second innings in the evening and made a strokeful 48. (Agencies)
