Kolkata,
Oct 19: Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly was today virtually ruled out
of the first one-dayer of the coming tri-series on October 23 and
was also doubtful for the second on October 26 with the doctors
suggesting that his hospitalisation period be extended at least till
Wednesday.
"There is
marginal improvement but the wound is yet to be filled up and needs
more dressing. For this the hospitalisation period has to be
extended at least till Wednesday," doctors attending on Ganguly
- M Nandy and Sukumar Mukherjee told reporters at a press conference
here. The doctors said Ganguly was free from fever and had a good
sleep last night. "He is comfortable, though the pain is still
there."
The Indian skipper
had to undergo surgery for an abscess, for the second time in five
days, in his left thigh yesterday at a private nursing home here.
