Now that the TVS Cup has gone Down Under, well out of the reach of India's hands; the task of review begins.
All sports-lovers would have had a great time right from the time when the Kiwis landed here for the Tests. The two Tests were good and helped India get into the groove after the break; and the ODIs were wonderful entertainment.
Thank you, New Zealand. You came to trip India without a major fast bowler in Shane Bond, but still did well. The Tests that you played against India were drawn and that in itself is an achievement of sorts. In the ODIs, with your crop of affable cricketers producing good cricket, you entertained us all. Thanks.
Thank you, India. After riding on a high crest in the World Cup, you played commendably in the Tests and ODIs. All your matches were a treat to the eyes, save the dismal show in the finals. Best of luck Down Under. Thanks.
Thank you, Australia. This tournament proves that your bunch of cricketers is still the best in the business, and other teams have a lot to achieve before getting anywhere near you. All we cricket lovers in India, who witnessed your team firing on all engines stand in unison to applaud you and celebrate your might. Thanks.
It's been a long tour, yes. But the very fact that wonderful cricket was played by all teams overshadows any monotony or drabness that could have crept in.
The cricket-crazy fans had a lot to be thankful for during this cricket
mela.
