Two dance programmes are to be featured at the monthly concerts, Kala Poshakam, being conducted by the Mylapore Trio of Sri Sumukhi Rajasekharan Memorial Foundation this month on April 8, 2007.
Kala Poshakam is conducted on a Sunday evening of every month in classical dance, music, instrument and other art forms for children, youth and elders (unsung heroes), says a note from the
organisers.
The performers for this Sunday will be:
1. Induvadana – Bharatnatyam – Performer & Teacher – USA
(Daughter & disciple of Padmashri Adyar K. Lakshman)
2. Babanjali Temple of Arts – South Indian classical dances
(Disciples of Raaj Paresh Baba)
The programme will be conducted at 5.30 p.m. at Narada Gana Sabha, Mini Hall, T T K Road, Alwarpet, Chennai - 18.
"All are welcome, but in traditional attire," say the organisers, S Amarnath, S Surendranath and S
Aparna.
Traditional attire means: Women only in saree and men only in dhoti, pant, shirt, pyjama, kurtha - No jeans, T-shirt.
