Sri Sumukhi Rajasekharan Memorial Foundation is conducting
its special Kala Poshakam Utsav - the Second Year International
Art Festival - from January 2-6, 2008, in Chennai.
The five-day festival of music, dance and drama will be held
at Sri Dakshinamurthy Auditorium, Mylapore, says a note from the
organisers, The Mylapore Trio, S Amarnath, S Surendranath, S
Aparna.
The exclusive 'Visesha Kala Poshakam' programme would feature
artistes from across India and abroad.
Registrations have commenced and performers
(all age groups) in any Indian classical dance and music – vocal
and instrumental - are welcome to participate in this festival.
There are two categories of performance:
1. Special performance slots for artistes
(abroad / India /local) to exhibit their talent and thereby
receive due recognition in the form of suitable honours.
(Talented performers would be conferred titles and awards).
2. Exclusive performance slots for Chennai
artistes only (solo/group).
Preference will be given to early birds for
dates and timings. Interested artistes/groups/institutions can
contact the organisers for enrolment procedures, formalities,
registration fee and other details.
