The ICC has gotten themselves recognized by the Olympic committee and is looking to get the event by the 2020 olympics. Since 1900 the sport is making its first comeback to the Olympics. But isn't the game over-sensationalized already? Turning players into models cum millionaires and t.v. coverage bought at billions. For those who have had enough of the game this is grave news.
There have been times when controversy would rear its head and stay in the minds of the mass until a few breath-taking moments in any game. If there's too much trouble brewing, the logical answer to forget all "fallacies" is put up an India - Pakistan or India - Australia match . I pity those who are still ignorant of bookies and the MAJOR money thrown around in the betting circle.
But those still believing in the spirit of the game and still can't get enough definitely welcome this move. Only time will tell if the game goes back to its roots or if it can be commercialized further.
