Tamil Nadu is known for its celluloid politics. Almost every other leader here is in one way or the other associated with the tinsel world. The latest arrival is the Vaigai Puyal. The tornado from Vaigai (Madurai) has made an open announcement that he would enter the poll fray against the DMDK leader, Actor Vijayakant while the latter has said he was ready to face even Karunanidhi in the elections! Vadivelu might have to wait for over three years if his dream were to come true unless there is a mid term poll.

Meanwhile there is no dearth of Drama. Vijayakanth has rejected Vadivelu's allegation that he had instigated attack on his house and office last Sunday. Vijayakant has described Comedian Vadivelu as a puppet in the hands of Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi, who could not tolerate the growth of the DMDK.



He had also a dig at Vadivelu's inconsistency. "Vadivelu started off saying he had no idea about who were behind the attacks. Then he said a few men came on motorcycles and threw stones. Then he pointed his finger at me," says Vijayakanth.

Well, if indeed Vadivelu is inconsistent, he has passed the first test for being a politician! And the biggest joke is that Vadivelu says he would be fielded by all the parties against Vijayakanth! Who knows what the alignment will be like when Assembly elections are announced? Isn't it immature to plan the assembly contest this early? Well, he has passed the second test as well. A lot more of drama waits to be uncovered. More interesting than a prime-time TV serial!
