Tips for the exams

Education

Are you Dyslexic? Do you find it difficult to learn and remember your subjects? Here are some tips from your fellow Dyslexics who survived their exams in school!
  • If you think you can learn better by seeing things visually, study using pictures graphs, charts and diagrams.
  • Practice writing short essays at home.
  • Give oral presentations on test topics to your parents or family members.
  • Read books with illustrations. Listen to information on tape. See films about the topics that you find difficult to remember.
  • Use educational CD-ROMs and Internet on-line schools to know more about the subjects that you learn in school.
  • Practice all the spellings that you find difficult before the exam starts.
  • Gather different interesting materials regarding topics that you find difficult.
  • While preparing for a practical exam, rehearse different steps in your home laboratory.
  • Be positive in attitude. Keep your confidence up. Keep saying, "I can do this".
  • If you do not remember something, take a deep breath, close your eyes and relax.
