The Chennai-based Gandhi Study
Centre, a registered charitable trust, has initiated a unique programme to introduce the Father of the Nation - Mahatma Gandhi - to the general public through a correspondence course. The course material will be available both in Tamil and English.
Those interested can indicate the choice of language. This short and effective scheme will be of great help for the housewives, busy and honest businessmen, students, politicians who intend to serve the people and people who love the country.
This is an opportunity to get to know the life and thoughts of Mahatma Gandhi. Contact classes at nearby cities (if there is sufficient enrolment of students) will also be arranged for the benefit of the students. It is useful and interactive but not compulsory.
The question paper will be sent to them and the participants can write the exams in their residence itself and can send their answer papers to the Centre. The date of exam will be 30th May (Sunday) 2004. Certificate will be sent in due course to the successful candidates.
Duration of the course will be three months. Registration fee and course fee per candidate is Rs 100. Those who register their names will get study materials free of cost. No other fees will be collected. There are no restrictions like educational qualification or age limit.
The last date for registration will be 30th March 2004. Those interested may send the MO or DD for Rs 100 drawn in favour of
