L'Attitude 13 '05
L'Attitude 13 '05, the maiden annual B school fest from Great Lakes Institute of Management, will bring to Chennai the brightest and the best thinkers and management students from across India for a two-day power-packed session of discussions, debates and discourses. Derived from the geographical co-ordinates of Chennai, L'Attitude 13 '05 promises to be a vibrant, colourful and exciting mix of seminars and events pitting the best minds against each other.
This year's event, scheduled on December 11 and 12, would begin with a conclave which would bring together prominent business leaders and academicians from India and abroad, on the subject 'Womb to Tomb - Striving for Endurance'. The theme revolves around the strategies companies adopt at various stages of their life. Some of the speakers of the meet would be Dr Bala V. Balachandran, founder and honorary dean, Chandrababu Naidu, Sam Pitroda, Jairam Ramesh, Harish Bijoor and top executives from the industry.
About 25 top B schools such as LIBA, ICFAI (Hyderabad), MICA, IIM Indore, IIM Kozhikode, SP Jain, NMIMS, FMS, IIMA, SCMHRD, SIBM and KJ Somaya would participate in the festival. An array of exciting events encompassing the fields of advertising, PR, finance and economics, marketing and HR will be organised - pitting the best business brains of the country against each other.
Commenting on the festival, S Sriram, executive director, Great Lakes Institute of Management said, "We are proud to announce Great Lakes' Maiden B School festival where we expect intense and exciting competition among the participating colleges. Through our eminent panel of speakers, the students get an opportunity to interact with the best in the industry and thereby add value to their knowledge base."
He added, "The two-day festival would involve intense competition to cull out the leadership skills in individuals. The event will test the managerial skills, business skills, inter-personal skills and personal orientation of the participants."
The event also consists of exciting competitive events for the participants from the top B schools in India, with prizes worth more than Rs 2 lakh. The conclave would be held at Tidel Park and the events would be held at Buena Vista, an idyllic seaside resort on ECR, Chennai. The event will kick off with the inauguration ceremony at 10 a.m. on December 11 to be followed by the conclave.
Great Lakes is a business school started by Prof Bala V. Balachandran of Kellogg School of Business in Chennai in 2004. It has established close ties with the Stuart School of Business, Illinois Institute of Technology; Yale School of Management, Yale University and Nanyang Technological University.
