The Petroleum Conservation and Research Association (PCRA), Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) and The Duchess Club in association with Madras Motor Sports Club and other oil majors (BPCL, HPCL and IBPL) are organising a first-ever women’s two-wheeler Rally in Chennai, 'Save Oil Sister' (SOS) on February 15th 2004.

The rally, which will run over 60 kms on the Time, Distance and Speed format, will be flagged off at the Indian Oil Bhavan on Mahatma Gandhi Road in Nungambakkam. Actors Srikanth, Ajit and actresses Shalini and Abhirami will be present to flag off the event. The finishing point will also be the IOC Bhavan. All kinds of two-wheelers will be qualified as one group and close to 600 entries are expected. On the rally day, The Duchess Club will also hold painting and cooking competitions based on the 'Save oil theme'.

As a prelude to this event, The Duchess Club is hosting an Awareness Cycle Rally on February 14th 2004. The Cycle rally will flag off at IOC Bhavan, Mahatma Gandhi Road and end at the Marina Beach. Close to 100 participants comprising State-Level athletes, members of the Duchess Club and IOC, and students of O2, Body Lyrics and Reebok are expected to take part.
