A Rs 50 lakh worth 'Indramala', made of single to
21 mukhi (face) beads, is among the rare and exotic collection of
rudrakshas displayed at a six-day exhibition in Chennai, which began
July 26.
About 10,000 rudraksha items, collected from
countries like Nepal and Indonesia and lab-tested and certified by
an ISO-9001:2000 accredited laboratory, is being showcased to the
public, said Tanay Seetha, founder of Rudralife, organiser of the
exhibition.
The prices vary from Rs 60 (panchamukhi rudrakshas from Nepal) to
Rs 50 lakh worth Indramala in which a bead with 21 faces alone costs
Rs 15 lakh.
Besides designer varieties like earrings, bracelets and rings, a
'Siddh Mala,' made of beads with single to 14 mukhi, costing Rs 1.35
lakh, is also the star attraction of the show, he said.
Tanay Seetha said free consultation on beads to be worn as per
numerology and astrology, puja and abhishek of malas as per Vedic
norms and free checking and authentication of beads is being
organised during the show.
He claimed that non-clinical tests had been successfully
concluded to prove that rudraksha beads are cardio protective in
nature, have anti-inflammatory properties and have memory and
intelligence enhancing attributes. (Agencies)
