 Royal treatment at Pothys
 The Pothys showroom near Panagal Park has been expanded to provide for a bigger, grander shopping experience. In fact, it's so big, it has been named the Pothys Palace. Also, because Pothys have launched a movement called 'Raja Kuthoogalam' under which every customer will get royal treatment, fit only for the emperors and empresses.
Said Ramesh, its Director, "Pothys brings with it the experience of weaving cloth for the royalty which goes back to 2,000 years. The royalty of Pandiya, Chola and Travancore were the recipients of the special cloth made by the Pothys family, which hailed from Saaliyar (as now called) near Madurai. If we say we have the experience of 2,000 years, very few will believe us. That is why, we will claim a 90-year-old experience, which itself is greater than the experience of other textile houses."
 The present complex in Chennai has six floors but still it is crowded and cramped. Therefore, they have decided to go in for an additional complex, of seven floors, adjoining the present one. "We have provided modern facilities like capsule lifts but more importantly we are giving customers here a feel of the royal treatment. They will be received in traditional style with suitably dressed attendants with 'vensaamaram'.
