Motorola store in Chennai Business

Motorola, Inc., a global leader in wireless communications, launched a Motostore at Anna Nagar, in Chennai, recently. The store was inaugurated by Sudhir Agarwal, director - Sales, India, Nepal & Sri Lanka, Motorola Mobile Devices, and Pawan Kapur, CEO, Bharti Teletech.

The announcement followed the recent Motostore openings in Mumbai, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Pune, Delhi, Ahmedabad and the flagship Motostore at Noida. The development of the store in Chennai enables Motorola to address the growing needs of India's mobile consumers and builds on the company's expansion across the Indian market, Sudhir Agarwal said.

The Motostore will offer access to interactive experiences and exclusive content, as well as personalisation services such as mobile phone tattoos.

"The discerning Indian consumer has definite preferences and needs with a keen understanding of the latest mobile developments. At the Motostore, consumers can come and experience our portfolio of products first hand to understand the best option for their needs," said Sudhir Agarwal.

"Fun is a core element of the stores, offering users an opportunity to personalise their phones using customised phone tattoos, and Bluetooth@ photo-imaging, as well as downloading of wallpapers and ringtones and on-site factory authorised technicians to aid with questions and service. A team of in-store Motorola experts are also on hand to help customers understand the latest technology and get the best solution for their needs.

"I am extremely happy to be present here today as part of Motorola's Motostore initiative," said Pawan Kapur, CEO, Bharti Teletech. "I am certain Chennai's discerning mobile consumers will experience and value the benefit of Motostore bringing a truly global mobile retail experience right here to their backyard."

Motorola has spent over two years deeply engaged in a global research and development effort around the new retail concept, and as a result has come up with an approach that is centered on the consumer. As part of this programme, Motorola has opened Motostores and Motostore formats in key locations around the world, including Europe, Asia-Pacific, North and Latin America, Agarwal said.

"Each and every Motostore has been specially designed with a keen eye on detail to ensure we offer unique experiences to our consumers while maintaining a consistent design globally," added Agarwal.

"The Motorola Concept Stores are scalable and flexible to ensure consistency in the different types of our signature stores worldwide. So, whether you visit a store in India or Europe, you will see a familiar approach but with an added local flavour," he said.

India's new Motostore is located at Bhawartel, M 78/6, 3rd Avenue, Anna Nagar East, Chennai - 600 102.
