The
MobileStore, an Essar Group initiative which has redefined
telecom retail in India, has announced ambitious plans for south
India in the presence of former Indian cricketer Krishnamachari
Srikkanth.
The MobileStore will create a chain of over
150 retail stores across 25 cities in south India in the next
six months. It plans to create a pan-India network of over 2,500
telecom retail outlets and 4,000 touch points across 600 cities
in the next three years. Currently, 180 stores are operational
in 11 cities across India.
In south India over the next six months, The
MobileStore will extend its presence to key cities like Chennai,
Coimbatore, Madurai, Tiruchirappalli, Thanjavur, Tirupur, Erode,
Salem, Puducherry, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada,
Tirupati, Warangal, Bangalore, Mysore, Mangalore, Manipal,
Belgaum, Davangere, Hubli - Dharwad, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram,
Thrissur and Kozhikode.
Srikkanth inaugurated The MobileStore at
Ispahani Centre in Chennai.
