Kavveri Telecom Products Limited,
incorporated in 1991, is a leader in the manufacture of antennas
and RP products for the wireless industry in India.
Kavveri manufactures base station antennas
for use by GSM and CDMA operators, RP products like filters,
combiners, splitters, RP feeder cables for use in base stations,
repeaters for GSM & CDMA applications, antennas for use in in
building solutions, specialised antennas for use by the Defence
sector and antennas for WiMAX.
Kavveri has its manufacturing facility at
three locations in Bangalore. Its focus on quality products has
also enabled Kavveri to become the most favoured vendor for
various RP products and antennas for many pan India GSM and CDMA
operators.
Kavveri's clientele in India include
Motorola, Ericsson, Nokia, Nortel, ZTE, Alcatel-Lucent, Vodafone
Essar, Idea, Reliance, Spice, BSNL and WorldSpace.
Kavveri has won orders from all pan-India
telecom operators and GEMs with whom rate contracts exist. The
order book and the projected outlook indicate that Kavveri would
easily double its turnover to Rs 100 crore this financial year.
Kavveri recorded net sales of Rs 18.6 crore
and net profit of Rs 2.27 crore for Q1 this year, against Rs 4.6
crore and Rs 65 lakh respectively for the corresponding quarter
last year.
Kavveri is now upgrading its manufacturing
facility at Jigani, about 25 Km from Bangalore. The plant is
being upgraded to take on manufacturing commensurate with the
volume of business that is on hand plus the expected volumes
over the next 2-3 years.
The plant will be ready by March 2008. The
company expects to undertake contract manufacturing also at this
upgraded facility and is investing about Rs 15 crore during this
financial year.
"After acquiring Til- Tek and DCI in Canada,
Kavveri is now looking at leveraging the technological strengths
of their products by manufacturing them in India for the global
market," said Shivakumar Reddy, managing director of Kavveri.
