SPi, a leading global BPO provider, is
expanding the number of employees at its Chennai facility and
plans to recruit another 500 people over the next 12 months.
With these additional hires, SPi will employ more than 700
employees at its newest facility in India.
Staff at the Chennai facility are focused on
SPi’s book publishing and healthcare operations. In publishing,
SPi provides professional, educational, scientific, technical
and medical (STM), and other book publishers with a high
quality, cost-effective, end-to-end outsourcing solution.
SPi’s book capabilities include a wide array
of editorial and content production services like full-service
project management, copy editing, typesetting, complex
e-deliverables and e-product testing.
In healthcare, SPi’s Chennai-based staff provide
round-the-clock, state-of-the-art customised transcription for
all types of medical reports, office and clinic notes, referral
letters and emergency documentation. SPi manages the necessary
transcription and documentation processes on behalf of hospital,
multi-specialty clinics, acute care facilities and private
physician groups across the US and produces accurate,
accessible, and shareable medical information for its clients.
SPi’s publishing operation is among the leading BPO book
publishing organisations in India and produces more than 750
books covering nearly 700,000 pages per year. The company’s
healthcare group expects to produce more than 40 million lines
in 2007.
