Are you planning on keeping a Kolu this year?
Then you are eligible to participate in the Kolu competition being
organised in Chennai.
The Sri Sumukhi Rajasekharan Memorial Foundation
is organising a Navarathri Kolu competition exclusively for Chennai
residents.
The main criteria for the Kolu is that it must be
traditional.
There should also be a definite theme.
There will be special marks for decorations.
According to a note from the organisers, the Mylapore Trio, S
Amarnath, S Surendranath and S Aparna, there is no registration fee
for entering the competition.
"We allow registrations from October 10 to 15, 2007," says the
Mylapore Trio.
All you have to do to participate in the competition is send a
minimum of three Kolu photos of 2007 to the organisers by e-mail:

A team of veterans will visit your house to judge the Kolu.
