Recognising the focussing of businesses, the opportunities they bring, Connect will feature a Conference on Business Process Outsourcing, which has been a high growth area in Tamil Nadu. The second edition of the “CIO Summit” will also be held on the occasion of Connect. It will also feature Round Table Sessions on Enabling ITES in Banking, Insurance and Financial Services; Engineering Back Office; Healthcare & Human Capital. The highlight of Connect will be a four-day exhibition being organised at the Chennai Trade Centre. The exhibition will feature the who’s who of the IT community exhibiting innovative products. Highlights of the Connect Exhibition includes WiFi hotspots, Test Driving of the Broadband. Also on display at Connect 2003 Exhibition are Communication and Networking Products, IT solutions and services; Enterprise Verticals, especially in the area of Banking Insurance and Financial Services; ICT Infrastructure and eGovernance solutions. Connect is being sponsored by several IT majors including Microsoft, Tata Consultancy Services, Xansa, Touchtel, Polaris, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Scope International and VSNL. In addition to this there will be an exclusive pavilion for Software Technology Parks of India. Connect will also feature participation from the Governments of West Bengal and Pondicherry. Connect
- Tamil Nadu’s Premier ICT show will be inaugurated on 18 September at the
Chennai Trade Centre in Chennai, by D Jayakumar, Minister for IT, Government of
Tamil Nadu. Connect is being jointly organised by the Confederation of Indian
Industry and the Government of Tamil Nadu and is currently in its third edition.
