Jotun paints, a Norwegian multi-national company, has introduced its brand of international paints in Chennai, having opened its showroom at Anna Nagar. The USP of the product is that they are made to suit local climatic conditions and tastes.

The interiors and the product display reflect the range of the company, said Pradeep Lakshmanan, country head - India.

Once a family chooses the colour schemes and finishes, the rest of the job will be taken care of by the company's representative, Lakshmanan said.

Their global experience helps them design products in their lab in Dubai and adapt them to local conditions. The company has more than 30 years' experience in computerised painting technology, he said, adding it was a pioneer in identifying and satisfying consumer needs.

Burj Al Arab, the world's only 7-star hotel in Dubai, has been painted with Jotun, he pointed out. The most famous landmark in the world, Paris' Eiffel Tower, is going through a repainting job with products from Jotun, he added.
