Sathyam multiplex gets clean toilets

Sathyam multiplex, which comprises Sathyam, Santham, Subham, Shree & Studio 5 theatres, is going in for a new look. Parryware has installed its touch-free systems in the toilets of the complex.

On an average, about 5,000 people watch movies everyday at the five theatres in this complex. Sathyam has tied up with the well-known bathroom products and solutions provider, the Chennai-based Parryware, to instal 18 units of electronic flushing systems (EFS) and 10 units of E-taps in the toilets.

Installation of EFS & E-taps will save the theatre about one lakh litres of water per month. Since it is a touch-free system that flushes automatically, there is no use of hand and hence the system is very hygienic.

K E Ranganathan, general manager, sales & marketing, Parryware, said, "Despite the fact that unhygienic toilets can lead to diseases, toilets in public places have for long been a neglected area."

"This decision of Sathyam complex is a reinforcement of our belief that we are seeing an increased level of awareness of the need for hygienic toilets at public places. We are confident that our water-saving and touch-free products will be well-received by the theatre-goers," Ranganathan said.

A spokesperson of Sathyam multiplex said, "It is our endeavour to provide our customers with an all-round, world-class experience. And improving the toilet facilities is part of our renovation plans. The installation of Parryware's touch-free systems will serve the dual objective of saving huge quantities of water and also at the same time making our toilets clean and hygienic."

Parryware had renovated Southern Railways' toilet facilities at the Moore Market Station Complex last year, leading to a sudden jump in the usage of the toilet facilities by the passengers.
