Ford India awarded Red Cross trophy |
The Red Cross Society of Tamil Nadu has awarded the Rolling Trophy to
Ford India for the being the highest
Blood Donor in the industrial segment of Tamil Nadu in 2003. The Trophy was awarded on May 8th, the World Red Cross day.
Ford India was the recipient of the Rolling Trophy for the fourth time in a row. Ford India had organised blood donation camps at the Maraimalai Nagar plant twice during the year 2003 and had donated a total of 152 units of blood. This endeavour reiterated Ford India's commitment towards Corporate Citizenship, said its spokesman.
Ford India is keenly involved in several community development projects, he said adding Sanjeevi is a Health Centre established by Ford India to provide free primary medical support for people around Maraimalai Nagar. Ford India also encourages individuals actively involved in environment related activities through the Ford Conservation &
Environment Grant Programme.
