Tissot's new sports watches
Renowned Swiss watchmaker Tissot has introduced a new range of sports
watches - the Tissot PRS 516, specially designed for those who love to live life on the fast track and have an affinity for four-wheel motor sports.
G Kannan, country manager, Swatch Group (I) Pvt Ltd said: "Elegant and chic, the Tissot PRS 516 has a personality of its own. Inspired by the legendary Tissot PR 516 of the 1970s, the new PRS 516 is a perfect range for lovers of the retro look who are in search of a sporty chronograph timepiece."
Available in a wide variety of leather and stainless steel
bracelets with push button claps, the Tissot PRS 516 is equipped with a quartz chronograph and an automatic three-hand day-date indicator. Each piece of this exquisite range has a carefully crafted design of a steering wheel on the back case, which bears testimony to Tissot's love for motor sports. The back case of the automatic version has a transparent aperture with a cut-out steering wheel underlining the watch's inspiration from the world of four-wheel motor sport.
In India, the Tissot PRS 516 collection is available at a price of Rs 11,200, across 75 outlets in the country. All Tissot watches are made of scratch-resistant saphire crystal and are water-resistant to 50m/165ft.
Particularly Robust and Sporty, the three letters that form the name of the PRS 516, it retains the pierced hole bracelet that brought it such popularity when first launched in the 1970s, recalling the holes in the steering wheel of the elite sports motorcars, a feature that some manufacturers still hold dear today.
