K K Raghava's exhibition
K K Raghava's hues and colours spoke a language that enthralled the guests as the myriad faces from the paintings exhibited came alive with soulful rendition of 'chanda' (Kerala drums). The venue was Taj
Coromandel.
Raghava, an exponent of organic painting form (painting with hands and legs rather than with brushes and palettes) almost blushed as a galaxy of Chennai celebs congratulated him on his efforts. Leading the pack were actors Kamal Haasan, Gauthami, besides N Ram, editor-in-chief of 'The Hindu', Kiran Mazumdar Shah, and several art critics. The art exhibition was co-presented by actor Gauthami and supported by Taj
Coromandel.
The charismatic artist has won accolades for his exquisite art form, where the human face takes a translucent journey cascading one's imagination and thinking with its chiselled and eloquent features. K K Raghava had exhibited his paintings across the world. His celebrated water colours spring from his instinctive abilities which are ably illustrated through the canvas.
Speaking on the occasion, Prabhat Verma, general manager, Taj Coromandel, said, "Words become superfluous as we are taken through a journey of a different kind just looking at these paintings. Taj Coromandel, true to its tradition and culture, promises many such evenings of togetherness to its patrons."
"The Taj Coromandel is proud to host the exhibition and has been the catalyst behind bringing many an art event to the city. Just as art unites people across the divides of race, religion and national boundaries, Taj Coromandel, with its gamut of events, hopes to unite a vast spread of its patrons who have unparalleled choices through events like these," he added.
