 What are you leaning on?
 'What are you leaning on?' by Meli Melo Cie is a gentle, poetic circus with a comical leaning. This will be on show at the Music Academy, Chennai, at 7 p.m. on October 5, 2006, brought to you by Alliance Francaise Madras in collaboration with the French Embassy, New Delhi.
In the bric-brac of their childhood, five characters invite you to follow an oblique adventure. Some of them are looking for each other while others are trying to evade. They climb, swing and sway into a mixture of acrobatic feats. What are they heading for? What are they leaning on?
Theme: How does one pass from childhood to adulthood.
A show that borrows elements from theatre, contemporary dance and, of course, traditional circus.
The performance explores the delicate passage of life from childhood to adulthood. Acrobats, jugglers act out the emotions and uncertainties of adolescence, not with words but with their bodies, only with their bodies.
Having already performed in France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Sudan, Meli Melo will start their Indian tour in Chennai. They will perform in other cities like Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Kolkata, Chandigarh and Delhi.
