Kamban Kazhagam, in association with Sri Thyaga Brahma Gana Sabha and Sri Krishna Sweets presents a series of lectures on 'Yaamarintha Pulavariley'.

Tamilaruvi Maniyan, Silamboli Chellappan, Elampirai Manimaran, Arivoli, Avvai Natarajan, Saratha Nambi Aruran, Namasivayam, Sathyaseelan, Sudha Seshaiyan, Suki Sivam, Marabinmainthan Mutthaiya, D Gnanasundaram will be the special guests and they will deliver the lectures on the popular Bharathi phrase 'Yaamarintha Pulavariley'.

The lectures will be on the contribution made by Valluvar, Ilangovadigal, Kamban, Sekkizhar, Nakkeerar, Kaaraikal Ammaiyar, Jeyankondar, Avvaiyaar, Thiruthakka Thevar, Villiputhurar, Seethalai Sathanar and Sangappulavargal.

The inauguration of the festival was held on May 9, 2007, at Vani Mahal. Managing director of AVM Films, AVM Saravanan, Deccan Moorthi and R Krishnasamy, secretary of Narada Gana Sabha, lighted the traditional lamp to mark the inauguration of the function.

Rm Veerappan, founder of Kamban Kazhagam, delivered the inaugural speech. It was followed by a lecture on the topic of 'Vaazhum Valluvar' by Tamilaruvi Maniyan.
