Parryware to launch 20 bathroom products
Parryware plans to launch over 20 customer-relevant bathroom products this year which will drive sales.
This was announced in Chennai by K E Ranganathan, the new CEO of the company, who took over last month.
On the strategy for growth, George Angelo, GM - sales & Marketing, said, “Our strategy is to grow aggressively in key identified markets like Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Hyderabad among others and to expand our taps portfolio. We expect to launch over 20 customer-relevant bathroom products during the course of the year which will drive sales.”
Parryware unveiled in Chennai recently its new glamour range that is in keeping with international trends. The water closets in this 'premium collection' come complete with anti-bacterial seat covers, water-saving features and a stains-free glazing. The premium water closets, which include Delphi single piece suite and Sphinx coupled closets, are priced from Rs 8,000 onwards, said Angelo.
The wash-basins such as Petra Corner Basin and Vigo Bowl Basin, in the premium range, come with clean, sleek lines, help save space and enhance bathroom aesthetics. The wash basins are priced from Rs 4,000 onwards.
The latest collection, which comes in subtle colours like glacier white and pergamon pearl, is targeted at the discerning customer for whom hygiene and aesthetics are priorities.
Parryware, which pioneered the concept of 'glamourooms' in the country, has taken forward this concept with the setting up of exclusive Parryware experiencentres across the country. The experiencentre offers a complete brand experience in terms of 'touch and feel', information and interaction. The brand experience and customer service has been a key influencer in purchase decisions. The company, which has experiencentres in Chennai, Bangalore and Mumbai, has opened another one in
Gurgaon.
On the outlook for the division, Ranganathan said, “The Indian bathroom products market is on a growth curve thanks to friendly measures from the government like infrastructure focus, easy availability of loans and attractive interest rates.”
Ranganathan added, “In this high-growth market opportunity, Parryware, as a market leader, will undertake several customer-centric initiatives on the products, services and experience front that, we believe, will help the brand maintain its leadership position.”
Parryware, which had forayed into taps and fittings accessories market last year with launches in the four southern markets, has in the first year of launch captured a 6 per cent share in these markets.
Buoyed by this response in the southern market, the company will expand into the rest of the country this year. As part of this taps expansion, the company had earlier this month forayed into the taps market in the east with the launch in
Kolkata.
Over the next two months, Parryware will be expanding its taps presence into the western and northern markets. Post the all-India expansion, Parryware is confident of achieving 10 per cent marketshare this year. The taps market size in India is approximately Rs 1,200 crore with the organised sector estimated at Rs 400 crore.
