 4th Dimension
 "If you are not in fashion, you are nobody". A famous line by Lord Chesterfield says it all.
Raghurams, a well-known furnishing house, conducted a competition for the upcoming designers in Chennai. 4th Dimension provided a platform for the budding talents of Chennai to showcase their prowess in the field of designing.
Nikunj Bisani, a student of the National Institute of Fashion Design, secured the title of the best upcoming designer of the year 2005. She also proudly held the trophies for the ‘Best Drapery’ and the best outfit. Sreenivas took home the ‘Best Interiors’ trophy.
 The preliminary rounds were organised in the colleges during the last week of October 2005. The short-listed ten from the previous round were put through a series of tests from which six designers were selected for the grand finale. The finalists were given the opportunity to showcase their creativity on December 10, 2005, at the Russian Cultural
Centre.
Each finalist was assigned a professional model to coordinate with, for a period of one month. The participants were given themes like Ethnic, Country House, Hot N Spicy, Contemporary, Teenage, and Earth for their garment and interiors rounds.
Stalwarts from the industry like Sidney SS, a well-known fashion designer, Solomon, renowned architect, Sagarika, a furnishing designer and Richard, film actor, were present to assist the process of selection of the upcoming designer of the year.
The participants were enthusiastic throughout the competition and went out of their way to display their best.
