 Lifestyle opens India's largest retail store
 Asin, celebrity film star, inaugurated the all new Lifestyle store in Chennai Citicentre, located on Dr Radhakrishnan Salai, said to be the largest department store in India. Spread over 75,000 square feet, this model store incorporates several new concepts in retail.

The new Lifestyle store provides customers a great shopping experience with three floors of apparel, footwear, products for children, household furniture and decor, health and beauty products. Given the vast retail area and a plethora of choice in merchandise, the new Lifestyle store has been scientifically divided into three distinct areas viz. circulation, retail and island, to make shopping even more comfortable and enjoyable. Colour cues, flooring and fixtures that are distinct to each area make the store customer-friendly. Other highlights of the store include a Ritu Kumar range of designer wear, nursing area for young mothers, colourful children’s play area, state-of-the-art fixtures, aesthetic dressing rooms and plasma screen televisions in each cash counter.
The existing Lifestyle store on TTK Road, Alwarpet will be soon converted into ‘Home Centre by Lifestyle’, the first stand-alone home solutions store by a large format retailer in south India. Lifestyle currently has nine stores across Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and
Hyderabad.
Sankar said 20 more Lifestyle stores would be built within three years at an investmwent of Rs 200 to Rs 300 crore in metros and tier two cities. The new centre on Radhakrishnan Salai had come up with an investment of Rs 15-20 crore. The turnover of the group had crossed Rs 350 crore last year.
