Anushka Unisex Salon and Spa, L'Oreal's first and only collaboration salon in south India, provides the latest at its Indira Nagar outlet in Adyar. It already has centres in Ashok Nagar and T Nagar.
The salon is owned by Shibani Vasundaran, a specialist in the salon business for over 10 years. Her international exposure includes advanced training at the Saks Hair & Beauty, UK, Servilles, New Zealand and the reputed hairdressing chain, Toni and Guy's in London.
 Spread over a generous area of 3,000 sq ft, this salon has a trendy and modern ambience. The equipment, chairs and backwash stations have been imported from Maletti in Italy. The international feel is complemented by staff trained by L'Oreal professional technical experts, bringing to the city an experience which is similar to any top salon one would visit anywhere in the world. The salon has been designed by a Chennai architect, Satish Kumar.
This new centre sports a unique concept never been attempted in India - Colour Bar. The Colour Bar enables vast experimenting with L'Oreal's entire range of hair colours. Personal consultation is given to choose from the variety of colour swatches, enabling the right decision. Besides, the staff are thoroughly trained by L'Oreal Professional Technicians and kept abreast with the latest international fashion trends by way of L'Oreal colour collections and frequent training with foreign hairdressers brought into India, Shibani said.
Along with their regular salon activities, special accommodation has also been made for their spa. You are attended to by a staff of able ladies and well appointed masseurs to rid your body of pain and aches, of dullness and grime. You can treat yourself to many of the updated exotic treatments - refreshing facials, firming body wraps, heated lava stone therapy, rejuvenating massages and restorative manicures and pedicures.
