Fashion Festival 2007, presented by Arti Bagdy, is back in Chennai. It will be held at Hotel Chola Sheraton, Cathedral Road, Chennai, on February 12 and 13, 2007, from 10 a.m. to 7.30 p.m.
Celebrating the Valentine month with glitter and glamour and announcing the colours and designs for the spring season, the biannual event - Fashion Festival 2007 - is bigger and grander this time with festivity in the air as 25 designers from more than seven different cities vie with one another to present and showcase their exclusive wares which include bridal wear, sarees, dresses, tunics, fabrics and kidswear with bandhini, gotawork, mirrorwork, chikankari, zardosi kashmiri, kantha, kutch, mughal embroideries as well as block prints and vegetable dyes.
Also on display will be handbags, footwear, bed linen, trousseau, home furnishings and lifestyle refinements and not to miss designer
jewellery.
The participating designers have worked on a variety of fabrics like tussars, brocades, khadi silks, crisp cottons, gossamer, organzas, crepes and georgettes.
In the jewellery section, each piece is exclusive since it's handcrafted and designed as a single piece .
