Netherlands Film Festival
A Netherlands Film Festival is under way in Chennai - organised by the Indo Cine Appreciation Foundation (ICAF) in association with the Netherlands Consulate General, Mumbai, and the Hony. Consul for Netherlands, Chennai, at the South Indian Film Chamber Theatre, 606 Anna Salai,
Chennai.
Schedule of screening
The festival was inaugurated on February 20, 2006, with the screening of the film 'Karakter', directed by Mike van Diem.
On February 21, two films were screened - Nynke by Pier Verhoeff, and Shouf Shouf Habbi by Albert ter Heerdt.
On February 23, two films are to be
screeened:
Ells in Glamourland directed by Pieter Kramer - 6.15 p.m.
and Kees de Jongen directed by Andre van Duren - 8 p.m.
The festival was inaugurated by Akhila Srinivasan, Honorary Consul for Netherlands, Chennai, on February 20.
Dr Gabriele M. Landwehr, director, Max Mueller Bhavan, Chennai, C K Gariyali, secretary to Governor of Tamil Nadu, and
Dr C Chandramouli, Commissioner of Tourism, Government of Tamil Nadu, were the guests of honour on the occasion. Actress Aparna was also present.
